The company was created by it's current owner, Sir Kristian Snell in 2005
from the dissolution of a smaller company, Demographics and the creation of
a new body known as Onus.
It's original name, Onus was chosen to symbolise the company's and the
director's commitments to taking responsibility for their products, service
and support. The name has only changed as Kristian Alexander Limited became
the parent company still powering the Onus brand in its market sector.
We are based in Weymouth, Dorset in the south of England along parts of the
World Heritage Coast with excellent access to road to the United Kingdom,
rail to London and sea freight links from nearby Bournemouth and Southampton
to the Channel Islands and Europe.
A number of brands have developed from the initial company which was catered
solely for design purposes including print, web and graphic design before
further expanding in early 2006 to include a Vehicle Technologies division. At the close of 2006, the third division was opened catering for Specialist
Vehicle applications.
Infrastructure is an important part of success for the group. Since it's
inception the company has strived to provide the best possible products and
service for the price tag and to help it to meet these targets, the company
has invested heavily in IT, communications and key skills as well as forging
a number of successful partnerships within the United Kingdom and
internationally.
Kristian Alexander has gone on to acquire and develop a number of other brands in order
to further its success as a business including the acquisition of a small IT
firm that is now responsible for providing its dedicated internet-trading
and computer systems from the site at One Canada Square, London.
Another part of the company's success has been successful innovation
providing a wide range of products for the use of emergency and ancillary
services across the world. It's Technologies ranges now spread from stocking
the humble halogen bulb to a wide range of LED, xenon and halogen lighting
applications as well as conspicuity products and audible warning devices.
The company is looking ahead as correctly predicted growth has enabled the
company to forge ahead from it's humble beginnings to a much higher turnover
with improved product ranges and customer base.
In 2008, the parent organisation Kristian Alexander Limited was created to
manage the brand Onus and the acquisitions of Lightbar Warehouse and Park
Automotive. There are big plans for 2009/2010 as in total, the manufacturing
base has been expanded again to include 7 countries and add a list of 52,000
additional
products to the ranges of home, commercial and vehicle products.
